Michelle is in the process of completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology. Since 2015, Michelle has worked in the human services sector supporting diverse families, children/youth, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Her work in the human services sector focused on providing supports and resources to individuals facing social barriers in the community. Michelle is excited to take on the next step in her journey as a counselling student and be able to practices therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. Michelle is looking to expand her experiences supporting individuals who have experienced trauma in the counselling process. Michelle believes in the power of counselling and has seen the ability for the therapeutic process to positively impact the lives of others. |
